DeThroWned - 2019

As Associate choreographer and lead performer Julia worked with choreographer Lisa Giobbi, www.lisagiobbi.org, to create an evening depicting three female characters from history using aerial track harness and theatrical tools. A moment of self-realization for Marie Antoinette, Anne Hutchinson, and Charcot’s patient Augustine is revealed in this profound and intense exploration of weightlessness and aspiration.

Diluvio 2017

As choreographer (using work from here there nowhere), associate aerial choreographer (with Lisa Giobbi) and lead performer, Julia worked with Gerald Thomas, https://geraldthomasblog.wordpress.com/videos-2/, in this theater event commissioned by SESC /Consolação in Sao Paolo, Brazil to create a world premier of interdisciplinary theatrical revelation.

Commissioned by Tanya Preminger and Ted Orenstein, Julia worked with DP Ramzy Telley and dancer Marissa Maislen to create this material for Tanya and Ted’s music video.

Reign 2012

Reign is a work created for 12 junior and senior high school students when Julia was teaching at the Governor’s School Dance Program at Radford University.
